Update 3.26.1 What's taking so long? All of it. But let's consider scripts today. .Writing is extremely difficult and we're still trying to lock down the vision for this project. Currently, we are exploring two potential shows: The first, codenamed "The Heart Show", where we use a well-loved public domain story as a framework for the events in our script. (No, we are not using Moby Dick for our first season; I used it in the video for the easy imagery.) The second, "Explorations", where we start with something as simple as a toilet and end up at water towers. I like this for a lot of reasons I'm sure we'll discuss in the future, should we get it off the ground. Personally, I am discouraged by how slow this is going because I'm such an achievement-oriented person. Not that I'm the least bit surprised. Update 2.26.1 Built largely from pieces of The Birdhouse* (our previous studio space), the Library is starting to take shape. Construction has been an exercise in doing what I do well and then leaning on the expertise of others for everything else. Collaboration has been so important, and I would not have made it this far without all the help. There is still a ton to do, but it is nice to see things come together and have something physical to show for all the work we've put into this project. Update 1.26.2 As we continue to work on scripts, we're struggling to know what is the Minimum Viable Product. Locations, for example. Being out in the real world is amazing, but has its own set of challenges. Shooting on a set is easier, if you have a set. We need wisdom to know what to push for and what is scope creep. And technology. We need that to work. "Catastrophic failure" is not what I want my computer to experience.
